Prayer

Father, as we read today’s Scriptures in their historical sequence, give us insight into Your unfolding plan across time. Help us see the connections, the context, and the continuity of Your story. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes to understand, our minds to retain, and our hearts to be transformed. Amen.

In this lament, the psalmist cries out to the Lord from a place of distress, longing for peace in the midst of a deceitful and warlike people. It expresses the internal conflict of living in an environment hostile to truth and righteousness.
